Tri-State Herpetological Society Reptile Relocation Project
This project is designed to aid indigenous reptiles that have ended up in life or health threatening situations. Examples of this service are snakes that have ended up inside homes or businesses or turtles that have made their way onto busy parking lots or streets. This project allows only for the quick removal of known specimens. Anyone wishing to have their property completely inspected for snakes should contacts the professional snake removers at Snake Removal Inc.
Adult animals can not be completely removed from their established range. Science has shown adult snakes and turtles are so associated with their range, relocating to another range causes a high mortality rate. For this reason, and for the legalities of indigenous herps, we can not remove the animals completely from their range, which may be a person’s private property. What we can do is remove the animals from homes or other building. Identify what type of snake and offer education on how to prevent the snakes from returning and how to safely remove them should they return.
Anyone needing an animal relocated by the TSHS should contact us via phone or email to make arrangements.
